Few Bits of Ramadan Left.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Ramadan is ending. I couldn't believe we have been into Ramadan for 19 days now. Often when Ramadan ends in the past, I regret that I didn't push myself to perform better during Ramadan.

I wished I did better. Pray more, supplicate more, recite the Quran more, read tafseer, give more to people in need. Every ibaadah done in Ramadan has been promised will multiply in reward. But I often missed all of these before. I lived a life filled with sins. Last time, I dread the fact that people are enforcing upon you to perform tarawikh. I venge the fact that the mosques were so hot, and women's prayer outfit will be drenched in sweat and smell after every tarawikh ends. MasyaAllah, I was that person who never cherished this holy month in the past. I wished to not go back.

Needless to say, I've grown fond towards Ramadan over these couple of years. With a husband present in my life, he made it clear that a woman is substantially recommended to perform ibaadah at home. In fact, it is better for a woman to nourish their house with prayers as a house without kalimahs of Allah and His Messenger, is not a home.

Now I'm loving every bits of Ramadan. One thing I'm loving most is the environment. The fact that  I know all Hell's door are closed but His Paradise's doors are opened wide. And the devils are chained too. Following al-hadith;

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed and the devils are chained. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

I felt calmer than usual. Unnecessary thoughts, anger, jealousy, all the bad stuff are reduced significantly. If if ever do feel any of it, automatically I am able to control myself.

Every ibaadah performed are infintely rewarded from Allah SWT Himself. Why didn't I realise this in the past? Following al-hadith;

Umm Saleem (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
(The performance of) `Umrah during Ramadan is equal (in reward) to performing Hajj with me. (Authenticated by Al-Albani)

Multiplied by hundreds of times and more. And only Allah could judge our fasts;

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied—a good action by ten times its value, up to 700 times. Allah says: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it accordingly. For, one abandons his desire and food for My sake.
There are two occasions of joy for a fasting person: one when he breaks his fast, and the other when he meets his Lord, and the (bad) breath (of a fasting person) is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Al-Bukhari)

Abu Ayub (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
Whosoever fasts in Ramadan and then follows it with fasting six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasts forever. (Muslim)

And our past sins are wiped clean by the Mercy of Allah in Ramadan.

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
The five (daily) prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the next, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiation for sins committed in between provided one stays away from the major sins. (Al-Bukhari)

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer) in Laylat Al-Qadr out of faith and in hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. (Al-Bukhari)

So let's do better, in the last few bits of Ramadan left this year. Who knows, we might not be greeting Ramadan again next year.

JazakAllahu Khayr.
